Dear GarmRO,

I just wanted to let you know that I am finished updating our website as well as letting you know of how we did a few updates.

Updates for GarmRO: No download required!

1. New MvP room system - players can only spawn 1 MvP now! The MvP will be labeled with the players name, and if for some reason the player does not kill the monster, then it will be killed immediately after the player warps out of the room.

2. @mute - This command has been broken for quite a while now. Thanks to Andrew, he was able to fix it! GM's will now be able to use it to settle any disputes that can occur.

3. I will add more later. I am pretty tired and dealt with enough today. /yawn

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years GarmRO!

I apologize that I wasn't available during the weekend before Christmas through Christmas Eve due to going out-of-town for a few family events but I wanted to let everyone know that I was here on Christmas Day and working on the server but sadly we were forced to have a wipe but our very FIRST wipe. I promise from this day forth that we will not have a wipe so anything you do WILL be backed up not only once but THREE times through out the week. The back-ups of gRO are in three different locations and on other computers in the event that the hosting computer is destroyed for what ever reason then we have GarmRO still but our new policy is going to be backing up three times a week; one every day, the other ever other day, and lastly one time every week so if anything should ever go wrong or happen then I can rely on these back-ups but for now it is the time to be re-born, forgiven, and start over fresh among being equal with everyone else. I am truly sorry for this tragedy but I will make it up for it for spawning more events frequently when I'm online but do not ask for an event or there will be none.

NOTE: If you have proof but ONLY screen shots of having any custom(s) then you will be refunded your customs. If not, I am sorry but I cannot help you for I don't have your provided proof. If you can make me remember you having those customs if you don't have screen shots then I can return them but only if I remember you. If I don't remember you that doesn't mean to keep spamming me asking if I still remember you because you will end up becoming muted for violating a rule of asking for items. In a tragedy like this, this is only as fair as I can be so if anything should ever happen - not that anything is going to happen but please take screen shots of your customs in the event we do have a slight rollback if something happened.

Aside from that, I haven't had much time lately to update this website but I wanted to let you know that we should be using this more frequently now and should be updating both of the website more often as our new years goal so be sure to check here often if the server goes down because there could be a scheduled maintenance!

Christmas Event - Scavenger Hunt:

Today there will be a Santa Clause NPC outside of the main map of @home and you will have the chance to win some really nice customs that are not implemented as a quest in-game. They will be [4] slotted but the quests are going to be quite complex but not enough to keep you from receiving the item of your choice. This event will end on January 2, 2008 at 5:00 PM EST.

New Years Event - PvP Event:

The second event will be a PvP based event on the luck of class but the winner of the competition will win an item of choice but they cannot choose any monster cards and yes that includes MvP's as well as a normal mob such as a Poring. This following event will start on January 1, 2008 at 12:30 AM EST so be there or miss out! I would suggest that after receiving this message and if you're a Player vs. Player(PvP'er) to start preparing and practicing your PvP skills to put them to the test in our tournament.

If you have are not new to gRO and have our old Small Installer then you need to download our new Small Installer. In other words, if you have downloaded the gRO Installer before the date of December 9, 2007 then I will need you to re-download it on our website. We were forced to create a new one when updating gRO but from now on we will be using our patcher mostly for updates unless we require a whole new installer which shouldn't be for a while. I apologize about this but you MUST have the download for the new installer or else you won't be able to enter our new mall's map then you will error when you type @mall and then I cannot help you but this download is mandatory if you want to be able to enter the mall.
